After all the 9mm Gen4 buzz over last couple years I was not sure what to expect. I did know I like the fit and feel of the Gen4 19. It has #4 spring and pulled on 12/30/11. I bought it and I went to the range same day and put all sorts of ammo down range. 700+ rounds on target and not one FTE/FTF. Perhaps Glock is getting bugs worked out compared to previous Gen4 9mm (some of them anyway).

OK, you've nudged me one step closer to a gen 4. Still have a little apprehension.

    Nudge, nudge...

My Gen4 34 was great right from the start. Not many rounds through it yet, but good strong ejection, and no FTE/FTF at all.

Gen4 is the best I have ever owned or shot. Very tight, excellent coating, the best trigger by far and I love the way the grip remains a solid piece of plastic versus what some of the other firearms manufacturers are doing where when you take the back strap off you are looking at a hole, springs and other internal parts.

I have owned dozens and dozens of Glocks and I prefer the G4 Glocks.

Any new design that comes out has kinks and eventually those kinks get worked out. Now maybe these Gen 4 haters can let it go so we can all move forward. Now bring on the single stack 9mm Glock! lol

    I've owned gen 2 & 3, and now gen 4.

I like the gen 4 best by far.

I'm with you, Badbob--of all the versions of Glocks I own, I really prefer the Gen4. I just modified your post a little bit for my setup...

    glockguerilla,

I haven't had any issues with my G19, but I did stop shooting it on my range trips due to all the bad experiences I'd been reading about. Anyway, I've updated all the internals, and still don't have any problems :)

Good to hear that you're enjoying your G19!

I love my Gen4 G19. I am on the fence about trading it in for a G26 purely because the 19 seems a bit big for my body type for concealed carry.

I wouldn't trade it for a 26. Not a whole lot of difference especially if you plan on using grip extensions. Having said that, I'd still get a 26. These aren't mine (I'm too lazy right now to take a pic), but you get the idea.

Don't trade it! A year from now you'll wish you still had it. Just save up for a 26.

One can never have too many guns.

Keep the 19, and pick up a 26. I alternate carrying them both, depending on mood. Plus my 19 has introduced more new shooters to Glock than I can remember.

You'll wish you had the 19 back soon after you get rid of it. Problem is, it won't be YOUR 19. :crying:

I just sold my Gen 3 G19 & G26s, as I have them in Gen 4s. I loved the Gen 3s, but the Gen 4s are just as reliable and they feel better in my hand.

I conceal carry my G26 with the original 10 rd magazine for max concealment with a G19 mag as a backup if that helps anyone.

I bought my gen 4 g19 a week ago. I took 5 minutes to get to the range. Ran 420 rds through it. no stoppages at all. not even close using wwb and a few federal champion. 2 casings to the face.

I ran 130 rds through my late model gen 3 g19. no issues using federal champion.

I love my Gen4. I've bought and sold an H&K P30, USP and Sig 226. All I shoot is my Glock 19.

That's great news. If you had posted this in December I'd probably have picked up the Gen4 - G19 instead of the Gen3. Enjoy the new toy!

Up to 900 rounds thru the gen4 19 with no malfunctions and it is by far my favorite glock. I like the gen4 so much better than my gen3s.
