A nice heavy box was at the front door when I got home today. 10 boxes of .38 Special ammo I had ordered from Sportsmen's Guide ..... in August 2008!
Nothing special, some Magtech FMJ .... but the kicker is that it was at $12.97 per box of 50! They kept sending me emails for the past year, saying "still on backorder, do you want to cancel or keep the backorder open?".........HELL YES, KEEP IT BACKORDERED.
I actually haven't priced .38's lately, but I know it's a heck of a lot more expensive than that now.
Reflecting on this........ it's kinda funny how brightened up my day is.

I can get it locally right now for that same price per 50.

Seems like alot of work floating it for 1.5years.

    Sorry.

If it makes you feel any better its only $13 a box because of a $2 off all handgun ammo currently.

    The regular price is $15($14.97).

6 months waiting on Alexander Arms for 6.5 grendel and 50 Beowulf. It should be here end of February.
My next buy will have nothing to do with "exclusive" ammunition. Good ol' common stuff.

    Howdy,

I'm glad I bought alot of SHTF ammo years ago when it was cheap and I reload all my blasting ammo.

I also bought primers before they went up too.

Congrats on the ammo. I bought a S&W Model 15 back in the spring of '09 and it is the one caliber that I do not have alot of ammo for. I've only got about 500rds of factory HP's and 1,000rds of my reloads.
