The G26 will handle them just fine.

I've been giving serious thought to the G26 and decided to rent one a few weeks back since I had the G19 with me and had a box of the Ranger T 126 gr +P+ ammo. I loaded up the G26 and can say it's at least the equal to my G19 in accuracy and fed it just fine. I'll be using that when I get the G26.

The 26/27 are some beastly little pistols, performance way out of line with their size.

    They'll be fine.

Anyone have chrono results for +P+ from a baby Glock? Seems to me you'd lose a lot of velocity with a 3.46" barrel. Kind of like shooting a .357 Magnum in a snubby. It's not worth it.

There are actually 2 answers to your question.

    1. According to the Glock Owners Manual you should only use ammunition that meets SAAMI or NATO Specifications. Since +P+ is a designation for SAAMI member companies to use on ammunition that is over SAAMI pressure limits, you should not use +P+ ammo in your G26.

    2. According to the Glock Armorers Manual. American 9MM +P+ is just fine in 9MM Glocks.

I carry +P+ ammo in my G17 and G19. They have suffered no ill effects from shooting it.

    You'll lose maybe 40-50 fps over a G19.

Really don't lose that much velocity and I think they are worth it.

They go BOOM very nicely in my G26.

I used them for awhile and they were 100% reliable for me.

Big flash, big boom and never an issue.

I carry HST 147 now. Faster flow ups and easier to find on a regular basis.

9mm does not lose that much velocity in a 3.46" versus 4" barrel. It may not be worth it to you but my 26 (the oldest of the two) has always been loaded with 115 +P+, 127 +P+ or 124 +P loads. The added recoil of +P+ versus standard pressure 9mm in a 26 is negligible, particularly when compared to the recoil of a 27.

Here are a few sites with +P+ velocity info from a G26. Other ammo info can be found, too.

It doesn't look like the shorter barrel is too detrimental to the performance of the Rangers. They're my carry round.

I don't really notice a difference in recoil between 127gr +p+ Ranger-T's and 115gr WWB out of my 26 unless I am thinking about it. It's a good deal louder, though.

I used to carry 127+p+ in my G26. I had one round fail to feed and lock up the gun. In other words, if I had been in a gunfight, it would have been curtains. I lost confidence in the round because of that and dropped back to 124+p which have been 100%.

3.5 barrel glock 26 ..most 115 +P+ go 1250 fps. ( out of my glock 19 they go 1300 fps plus.. Rem 115 +P+ went 1400 fps!!! ) All shot over my chronograph

    Plus 357 magnum in 2.5 inch barrel S&W 66

few of the loads I have chronographed

    Corbon 125 JHP = 1373 fps
    Win 158 JHP = 1120 fps
    Rem 125 JHP = 1297 fps

I would say it is worth it...

45 ACP chronoed out of glock 21 and 3.5 inch colt 1911 officers model

    Rem +p 185 HP 1120 fps in glock 1011 fps in 1911
    Corbon +P 185 HP 1143 fps in glock 1050 fps in 1911
Rem 230 FMJ 812 fps in glock 760 fps in 1911
