I have a Winchester model 1300 with the 26" barrel. Is there and 18" barrel I could swap out to make this a HD shotty? Thanks

Thanks Baba!! Wasn't sure if there was some sort of compatability issue, or if it was just a matter of changing out the barrels. Would it be considered the defender barrel (12ga.)? If i pull the plug it's a 5 shot, not 8.

That'd be the one I'd get unless you wanted the rifle sights which, no... keep it simple, 18" w/ bead. As for the magazine and round count, whats it take now? Keep it simple.

Some people add this n that, a sling w/ ammo in it, light (OK a light is not a bad idea) extended mag, etc and a simple thing becomes not so simple and heavy.

Try the barrel, and "pattern" your chosen HD rounds so you know where it/they shoot(s) in that new barrel at the distances you think your home needs for HD. Then take it out and bust clays with it until you know it well.

Buy ammo, use up. repeat, is a good line. And have fun.
