I just picked up a very nice blue/walnut(?) Defender 1300 (18.5") and am wondering if the XS Big Dot (epoxy over the bead) for the Remington 870 will work on it? If not, what are my other front sight options? I don't plan on doing much else to it except maybe putting a TacStar side saddle on. Any other suggestions for upgrades are welcome too.

    Thanks for any input.

I use a Truglo Universal clip-on, cost like $5 in the dump-bin at a Gandermountain. It snaps on and indexes over the bead. Crazy bright outdoors and outstanding even inside, 1st pic is inside with ambient sunlight, 2nd is night with only light source being a surefire pointing at ceiling.

All that Winchester needs is ammo.

I swapped my front bead out for a fiberoptic one for like $5 from walmart. I just wish there were a ghost ring setup for it. I love the setup on the Benelli Nova tactical

I spotted a XS ghost ring setup for the 1300 on eBay. I'm just looking for a tritium front bead. I emailed XS about my question and still haven't heard back. Will the XS bead work or maybe even the Mepro one?

    Thanks again.

This, but I have a 1200. I'd really like a bead that I can pick up a little easier.

Anybody know if the bead only XS Big Dot option (part #SG-2003) will work with my stock 1300 Defender bead or will I need to order another size bead first from somewhere else? If it will, what's the best way to epoxy it? I'm thinking JB Weld but I don't want to damage my barrel's finish if I can help it.

    Thanks.
