I've been looking at these for some time now, and ready to pull the trigger so to speak this weekend. I've heard gripes about their recent quality compared to the past. Is there anything I should look for?

No quality issues at all, Wilson Sentinel 9mm is an awesome pistol, certainly up to usual standards. I have zero complaints about mine (that I bought for my wife)

Although I do have to concentrate harder for more accurate shots with the smaller sight radius.

He's on the fence about it. Would've bought it if he wasn't looking for a winter beater. . Dude just bought a WRX STi a few months ago. Bought a Subaru and doesn't want to drive it in the winter :dunno:

Told him, if he would give me cash and his barely used Ducati 696 Monster, I would trade him my WRX and he can drive that in the winter.

I think you have heard some bad information......Wilson quality has never been as high as it is now. The Sentinel is a fine pistol!!

I've heard absolutely nothing about a decline in Wilson Combat quality, not even on the interwebs.

I haven't heard anything bad about Wilson. Maybe what you heard was from someone who didn't want to pony up the dough for one, so they just tried to convince theirself that Wilson guns had issues.

yep, it's even better with 330WHP and snow tires  ...i remember when we had a blizzard in Cleveland back in 07-08 and i wanted to go to Best Buy to get a PS3. made it there & back no problem.

here's a pic of people stuck in my parking lot before we left for Best Buy.

It's actually a POS, I've heard from a GT member that went to the range, talked to a guy there and test fired a Taurus 1911, and said it was way better. Buy a Taurus and save your money.

Maybe I confused Nighthawk with Wilson. Thanks for the replies.

Nighthawk Custom quality is excellent as well. There are just some of us that think that Nighthawk has launched themselves on an odd trajectory.

So that's why they have a gun that should have a Titleist rollmark?
