Will a Gen4 G22 upper go on my Gen3 G35 frame?

Going to buy a G22. Not sure if I want Gen3 or Gen4, If I go with Gen4 can I use the upper on my Gen3 G35?
    Thanks

I don't think uppers can be swapped between the Gen3 and Gen4 guns, primarily due to the differences in the recoil spring assembly size/shape, but there may be other factors that come into play, too.

Personally, unless there is a local reason for keeping your number of serial-numbered pistol frames at a minimum, then I think you're better off just getting a whole second gun. Yes, it costs more, but if you have two uppers and something goes wrong with your frame, then you have NO operational pistol at all. In my experience, most folks who get a second upper eventually build it into a second whole gun anyway, so you might as well do it up-front and get matching numbers, too.

I am buy the whole gun. My reason for asking is I shoot competition with the G35. It has fiber optic sights which are no good for low light. I want the G22 for HD and carrying in my truck. I also shoot some night shoots that have low light. I really like the trigger on my G35. The G22 will have night sights. I want to be able to swap the upper of the G22 onto the G35 when I do the night shoots.

    A Gen4 slide will not fit a Gen3 frame.

A Gen3 upper can go on a Gen4 lower, but NOT the other way around.

In answer to your question, no, you cannot put a Gen4 upper on a Gen3 lower.

Ah, now I understand; that makes perfect sense. Sorry I didn't read what you wrote more carefully.
