True to a degree. As whoever it was said, "Once people realisethey can vote themselves money, it is over." And so it is. Te nature of socialism is that it promises many people more more that tey don't have to earn and makes them feel good about it.

BUT you might just have lost your last chance to do anything to reverse that. 12 million illegals will now ge the vote. That means 95% of the 15% blacks will vote democrat plus the 75% of well over 10% hispanics. That is without any political thought at all. Then a whole lot who might dislike a lot of the fiscal policies and simple crookedness of so many Democrat Pols and who might vote Republican if only the Republicans were not saddled with even sillier social ideas than the Democrats. The religious right have just thrown away this election for the sake of feeling good about their silly ideas.

Well, you're making a good start but you could do better.

What were the honest intelligent solutions that Romney proposed for our ballooning debt? He made some vague statements about lowering tax rates and ending some deductions, but he never clarified which deductions he'd end.

Or maybe it's the media repeating the lies over and over and over again without any fear of being challenged.

    - Mitt wants to kill grandma
    - Mitt will make abortion illegal
    - Mitt will only help the rich
    - Mitt's budget will wipe out all social programs
    - When Mitt ran Bain Capital, he sent jobs overseas
    - Mitt hates gays
    - The economy is recovering
    - Fast & Furious? Never heard of it
    - Fast & Furious? Bush started it
    - Embassy killings, was because of a hate film
    - Embassy killing? There was no prior about an attack.
    - Obama has improved the economy
    - Unemployment is down

The poor need the rich more than the rich need the poor.

The middle class need jobs and the poor don't hire many folks. The rich won't either if they are unsure about the future of the Country/economy.

Awww, big bad government keeping you from finding something you love to do and figuring out how to make good enough money at it that you don't really miss the taxes you have to pay? Or do you just expect to keep doing the same thing you always have and just get more money without having to change anything?

Sorry if you made some bad choices in life but that's not my problem. Sound familiar?

Such compelling arguments you make. Everyone that disagrees with you is just looking for a free ride. How did your side ever lose?

I never professed compassion or charity for anyone. Short of being a regular blood donor I don't even donate much to charity. That's not my thing and if it's yours and you feel superior to me for it than have fun with that.

I simply voted against the religious right for the supremely retarded things they believe. Don't think I have any love for Obama. If he'd also showed up wearing magic underwear and belonging to one of the most wackaloon cults around I'd have voted third party.

But it was G29Reload I was responding to and I particularly don't give a damn about him. He has cows in the front yard and a seriously abrasive attitude. He'll be just fine.

So you don't give much to charity but you have no problem using government to force someone else to pay for your friends medical treatment?

    That's pathetic

You believe in god? I think that's pathetic. Probably not going to change your mind much. It's called a difference of opinion. Deal with it because your holier than thou attitude doesn't have any affect on me.

I have no problem using the money of people who have more than enough to spare to save the lives of other people that can't afford life saving medical procedures. I think ACA will have to go through a lot of changes before it really serves that purpose but it's a step in the right direction. Your party sure showed no inclination to address the issue.

BTW, my girlfriend has a rare condition called gastroparesis. She was dependent on a very expensive drug called Reglan to keep her digestive system moving and the side effects include Parkinson's like symptoms after extended use. We found something that works much better and guess what it is? Here's a hint: It's something that grows naturally, was recently legalized in 2 states and is vehemently opposed by the party that you keep insisting I should have voted for. The party you keep supporting right along with all their insane big government BS. **** you morons and your lectures about Obamacare. I'd have every one of you taxed into poverty before I buy into that insanity. In the meantime I will revel in your becoming more and more irrelevant.

    Have a nice day. :wavey:

First off, you do realize CF is libertarian right?

Secondly, its very telling you are willing "tax everyone" into poverty, for something that quite bluntly isn't my problem.

How about we take responsibility for ourselves? Why must we use the force of the government to confiscate wealth to what you feel is a just cause?

What makes you entitled to my money? Sounds selfish to me.

And he explained why he wasn't divulging more. He didn't want the MSM to corrupt his plan. (why do you pretend to be stupid, I truly believe lieberals lie to themselves first, then to their like minded cohorts, what a lovely bunch of coconuts!) You're like most lieberals, you can't see the truth through your prejudices. Of course if all you watch is the MSM you're ignorance is explained. Anyway, fasten your seatbelt you're going on a fast downhill slide.

He would probably freeze Government hiring, which would not help him get votes. He was going to be tough on the slackers. I understand why you voted as you did. I would also vote as you did, if I was you.

You're a thief. Plain and simple.

If you were a man, you would make some extra jewelry, work an extra job, do what you have to do to pay for her her drug yourself. Instead, you let her turn into a welfare case. Your girlfriend isn't my problem. You try to make it my problem and I hope she's denied treatment....rationed out. Her life isn't worth the expense. Your President won't be in office forever.

As you can see, the GOP is going to have a very hard time distancing themselves from the wingnuts. Give if a few weeks. The birthers will be back at it, harping on secret Muslim rings, gays, etc. These people are far too gone to walk away from this stuff. We'll see if the party can successfully make the separation.

Edit: as you can see certifiedfunds is well on his way to a 2016 win. Hey certified, why don't you run the next nominee's campaign and advise him to preach your strategy of letting heart attack victims and other people with life threatening issues die in hospital parking lots. It'll be a landslide victory!

You are a perfect illustration of the idea that if you are a hammer, every problem is a nail. For you, more God-hate is always the answer, and certainly trumps other issues like gun rights. IMHO the opposite is the problem. Let me quote John Adams:

"We have no government armed in power capable of contending in human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other."

This explains the breakdown of America today, and why attempts to export our Constitution to other nations and cultures without our Biblical Christian background have had little success. See our recent efforts in Muslim nations. The governments of the former Communist bloc used the terminology of America's governing principles, but without the Judeo-Christian heritage driving it. This is from Gary DeMars book, "God and Government":

"The assumption is that since a certain type of constitutionalism works in America, then it should have an equal chance of success in any country, no matter what ideology motivates and forms the world view of the people. In essence, governmental forms are considered to be more important than ideology and character. This has not proved to be true. For example, Bolivia had sixty revolts, ten constitutions, and six presidents assassinated between 1826 and 1898. Simon Bolivar (1783-1830), called the "George Washington of South America", died an exhausted and disillusioned idealist because of the character of the ungovernable people. Some months before his death Bolivar wrote:

There is no good faith in Latin America, nor among the nations of Latin America. Treaties are scraps of paper; constitutions, printed matter [see today's liberal activist judges]; elections, battles; freedom, anarchy; and life a torment."

As this nation continues to turn its back on God, Bolivia, here we come. Lawless looters seem to be firmly in charge here. My prediction is this eventually ends in a totally devalued dollar and an authoritarian government of the right or left.

Yes, I think we all got that.

No, I don't feel superior to anyone. I simply care about other people. Who knows? Perhaps it'll come back to me when I, or someone I love, needs help.

Doesn't seem like much will. That's called a closed mind.

As long as the "take" is from someone else's pocket and the "give" lines yours with money, it is OK? You may very well be the perfect hypocrite. Nice touch with the profanity; the picture is now complete. :winkie:

I won't hold your behavior against your girl-friend either. From the impression you have made upon many here, she has plenty of unpleasantness to deal with besides her illness.

    How utterly pitiful.

Excellent post here. Re-posted for emphasis.

The GOP has become the party of fear, of anger, of hatred, and of obstruction.

American conservatives have become impervious to scientific facts and to rational arguments.

Instead of "agreeing to disagree", they call people communists or socialists. They play on people's fears because they have nothing positive to offer.

Exhibit A is that everytime I disagree with someone's views here, I'm a troll or a Marxist.

Its not effective. When you call everyone that disagrees with you a socialist, the word loses its meaning.

Its an inherently negative agenda that will find itself supported only by the far religious, rural, uneducated white that is terrified of an America no longer at the center of the universe, but simply a major player in the global scene.
