Why you dont fight car fires straight on

    There was a firefighter in Connecticut a couple years ago (or more now) who had a hood strut explode and go through his leg. Just one more thing to have to keep in mind when fighting car fires.

    Many moons ago, I was hit by hot windshield glass. Still have the scar on my neck. The electric seat had shorted, and things had smoldered for a while. My luck to walk up just as the glass popped. Even a simple looking auto fire can get you.
