I'm not the target? Now I have no hope of collecting the millions of dollars that will just go to the gullible people. I have lost so much!

I'm offended that they don't care about me.

a website I find very entertaining is: www.419eater.com

419 is the country code or area code of Nigeria. Of course not all scams originate out of Nigeria, but the better part of them do!!!

it's a site where the "scammee's" turn the tables on the "scammers"........

because English is not the scammer's usual first language the potential scammee's use English slang and the scammers have NO idea they in fact are the ones being baited and scammed......

Meanwhile, many of the Nigerian immigrants are involved in healthcare fraud. It's a game for them:steamed:

I thought that was a reasonable fee for using my bank account number to help get his millions out of the country! Now if they spoke in good english, then Id be doubtful, but Id expect a nigerian to have bad english.

On a serious side, we couldn't imagine all the people swindled on these frauds.

I once replied to one of those mails, saying it sounded interesting and could they send me more info. The emails literally came flooding in.

that 2nd line there got me thinking.......if these guys were so successful why is Nigeria one of the poorest most inept countries on earth?? OK....except for the oil wealth that Nigeria has (which the Gov't keeps and it's full of scandal) I would think these scammers are not all that successful because they'd be living on easy street and have wealthy lives......which they do not. They use internet cafe's to do these scams. Basically most of them have just the clothes on their backs and little else. Just go look at the pics on that 419eater.com website I posted.

I think that as the years have gone on people have wised up to these old tired scams. When it was in it's infancy I am sure they had several people a day each they were scamming. I suspect they are more and more desperate as more and more are just not biting.

    Anyone think the same????

I'll bet they still get a bite now and then.

There are a LOT of stupid people who have money.

I read about a man from Texas who got scammed out of tens of thousands of dollars. He paid out money, over and over.

Finally, he demanded a face to face meeting.

He flew to London, and was never heard from again.

    What a putz.:faint:

    That's my problem now!

I made the mistake of responding to a couple of e-mails just to jerk them around.

They're now flooding my inbox with scam e-mails.

You need to get a burner e-mail address. gmail is great for that.

I somehow think this is an accidental benefit to them. I can't see them thinking that well and actually screwing up on purpose to weed out the "bad" hits.

I took one all the way to the point that I got a cashiers check in the mail for 50000 dollars once. Took it to the closest FBI office and handed it into them with copies of the emails. Never heard back about it.
