    Hi guys..

I have been reading about FO glock sights and I have noticed many of them, i.e dawson precision, warren tactical, 10-8... usually are high.. .215 height.

is there any particular reason for that?

These are generally considered competition sights and tall, narrow front sights and deep wide rear notches are usually preferred for practical and speed shooting matches, as they allow for quick pickup because of the large amount of daylight on both sides of the front sight, and tall fronts/deep rear notches make tracking the sights up and down as the gun recoils (ie, calling your shots by continuously tracking your sights, as the gun cycles) easier.
