Also, why do I want one? Never been a rail fan, but the railed TRP and the Doublestar rail gun have been appealing to me lately. Actually have thought about the ATI Thunderbolt, because of the bull barrel and if a rail gun isn't for me, it would be alot cheaper than the TRP with a bull barrel, or the Doublestar. Not to mention the fact that I don't have a light, which is another $200-$300. I do think that a rail gun with a light would be a pretty cool HD gun.

I'm not a rail fan on 1911s, but I agree with you, I like the Double Star railed 1911s.

I'm getting one without the rail sometime this year.

I called them and they have plenty of non-railed models in stock. Curiously, they're $50 more than the railed version. :dunno:

I have had two in for T&E and cannot recommend them , I wanted to like them they use good parts but the first had an issue with the hammer following the slide the second would not feed reliably after break in with constant issues with the 5-7th rounds no matter what magazines were used..
I can whole heartedly recommend the S&A MP operator and it comes with night sights the money you save could be spent on fitting a hadrcore extractor and tool steel internals.

It is when you consider the very good quality of parts they used I saw no MIM at all forged frame and slide great grips sharp machine checkering in spec rails etc... If they have good CS I would take a chance on a single gun if I had others to use while I tuned it

BTW trigger pull was superb on both.

I'm not big on the dustcover or the roll marks, but that won't stop me from getting one at some point.
