G23 RTF2 with "gills" PET981.
I ordered my new pistol, a GLOCK 22 Gen 4 a week ago. I have another 2 weeks to go before delivery (according to the salesman). When I receive it I will let you know whether it has or has not fish "Gills". I have been told that Glock does not offer the "Gills" on the handgun now.
I have a G17 RTF2 with gills, NUU***. Love this pistol. No failures of any kind so far and the trigger feels a bit crisper than my earlier gen3 G23.
looks like I have the most recently made G23C RTF2 with gills. PEX-5xx born on 12-7-10
G17 rtf2 ngx-*** 6-11-09
Unfortunately, there goes my theory that they were a limited run in the NGD series....
G23 RTF2 Gillie PEVxxx born 12/10
You guys are killing me! I need a 19 or a 23 with gills....I'm like a fish running outta air!
I bought my G17 with the crescent serrations on 9-23-2009 (3 days after my 21'st).
Serial: NDV-XXX, April 2009.
I have a 22 and 23 with gills.
23 born date: 11-3-09 NYV-XXX
22 born date: 03-8-10 NYM-XXX
You might find this interesting - today I added a G22C RTF2 with gills to my collection. Its SN is PEX 04x with a date of 4-12-10.
So I got a full frame 22C vs. a compact frame 23C, with the same PEX SN prefix (differing in numbers by ~400) and with a birthdate almost 8 months earlier than yours... sounds like they left yours on the vine too long and they only picked it after it started withering (after it lost 0.5 inches off the barrel and 2 rounds out of the mag).
I saw one yesterday brand new at my Gun shop in Lakewood NJ G23 RTF2 Shark gills
I do, its a G22 NBL***
I just bought a G17 with gills a few days ago, also an NXV***!
Hmmmm...that's a few miles from me...didja buy it?!?!
I bought a G23 RTF2 Shark last year from them.
I just received my G17 serial number NUV born 10-22/10
I love the grip and I love the Gills
I also have a G19 Gen2.
A family pic of my gilled RTF2 C models.
I was wondering the same thing about leaving it on the "vine" too long. Im not too sure about the withering part. I like to think of it as well ripened.
