This is amazing to me; even the deer’s antlers are white in velvet. Something I did not know is that a white deer is protected in Wisconsin. Is there any other state that they are?

When I lived in Seneca Army Depot in the Finger Lakes Region of upstate NY, we had albino deer there. I believe they are protected with very limited hunting.

I saw an albino deer once (circa 1995) while hunting near Luck, Wisconsin...a neat experience and I'm glad I didn't shot it. It was a doe that had two normal colored fawns with it. Watched it for about 10 minutes.
