I want an Uncle Mikes paddle holster for my G39. Do I need to get the one for the 20/21 part#5425-1 ? I have an MTAC for IWB, just want a kydex OWB holster.

    Thanks

It doesn't look like Uncle Mike's makes one that will work. Their subcompact model is for the 9mm/40cal slide and the 20/21 will be too big for your subcompact. You might want to try the GLOCK sport holster designed for the 20/21. It's cheap and it should work well with your G39.

If you want a paddle, Blade-Tech makes the best kydex paddle holster for a G39. Check them out at www.blade-tech.com. I use a Blade-Tech Nano IWB, Blade-Tech paddle and Raven Ghost with my G39. I'll have to take a photo of the paddle and post it for you.

While it's pictured with a 38, my 39 works wonderfully either IWB or OWB in this Bluegrass Hybrid. Unfortunately they are no longer in business.

FWIW, I just tried my new G38 in my Uncle Mike's kydex holster for my Glock 20 and it fits just fine. The holster is, of course, quite a bit longer than it needs to be on the muzzle side.

You could also look at Blade-Tech's SRB (Sting Ray Belt Holster) for $63 or Comp-Tac's paddle holster for $58.

My G39 fits great in either a paddle or belt holster by Fobus. An even less expensive option is the Glock "Sport" holster for the 20/21. Even the shorty G39's muzzle will protrude below the Glock holster.

Although I usually use something else, I don't know any reason it couldn't be used for carrying. After all, it's a Glock and so it is simple and it works. I need to make a trip to town soon so I will be carrying the G39 in the Glock holster for this trip. The holster comes set up for a 1 1/4" belt but can be adapted by cutting the little pegs to fit your choice of widths (mine is used with 1 1/2"). Of course once the pegs are cut, the holster would be loose on a narrower belt but, at such a low price, you could afford to have an extra one for a belt in another width.
