I plan on picking up some cast bullets from a local company tomorrow in 9mm. I am trying to decide between 115gr RN and 125gr truncated cone. Also trying to decide between Unique and W231 powder. The guns they will be shot in are a CZ 75B and a SW 5906. Anyone got any experience or load data for these?

I'm shooting a 125 gr. LTC I cast using Win 231, functions through my P11, Sub2K, AR, and every Glock I have be it stock, aftermarket or conversion barrel.

I use a 125LCN bullet for 99% of all my 9mm reloading. As to powder, I have used quite a few - Unique, W231, WSF, WST, BE immediately come to mind. Unique has a good reputation for working well with lead bullets.

Have you slugged your barrel yet?

I'd use a 147gr LRN. They don't need to be driven at high speed to cycle the action, thereby not causing leading in the bore. I used to cast my own 9mm bullets for years, using a 150gr LRN mold. I would drive them at 850 FPS out of my G17. No leading, great accuracy, and good shooting for years.

After shooting 9x19 for almost 40 years:
    1) best cast bullet accuracy is with a L-SWC--even pre-WWII Lugers feed them just fine
    2) best cast bullet accuracy is with 121-125gn bullets
    3) I prefer almost ANY style bullet over a L-RN or FMJ-RN. Round nose is supposedly more reliable in feeding, but I don't have problems with TCs or SWCs.
    4) 0.357" cast bullets are almost always more accurate then the same bullet at 0.356".
    5) Any cast bullet must be at least 0.001" larger than the groove diameter of your barrel. If you haven't slugged your barrel, you have no idea what bullet size to order.
