I have a custom G20 Long Slide with a 6.5” threaded barrel and comp.

I saw the vid in which the 180 grain Speer Gold Dot bullet experienced some jacket separation when fired from a 4.8” barrel

Should I go with the Delta Elite version of this ammo due to the additional length of my barrel?

Might I suggest, The XTP. Even with the delta elite flavor, I believe the velocity would still be high coming out of a 6.5 inch barrel. I'd only assume you'd be using a 6.5 inch barrel for hunting, in which I'd definitely stick with the XTP.

    Yes, XTP.
    I use GD's but I don't worry about the published velocities, I'm carrying/shooting a stock 29.

I talked with Kevin at UW and he recomended 180 SGD.

This gun is a range cannon BUT I like to have personal defence ammo for any gun that's in my house, whic is why I went with the GD bullet.
