Where in CA?

Discussion in 'California Glockers' started by tonelar, Sep 30, 2009.

  1. Hate to admit I did my time in FresNo! '67-72 Hoover High, and '89-92 w/ a crazy woman whose bro had one of the last home-addressed FFLs. (almost time to go back)
I recall going to the CowPalace for a gunshow, but all I could afford was the entrance fee. Got a days' long entertainment and cleansed my mind of all that crap being at SF State. Last I heard there aren't any more shows at the Livestock Pavillion.
"They" were even going to tear it down!
  2. Ventura County, also.

  3. You got that right. Not a fan of Fresno. But at least you aren't far from Yosemite.

    NorCal, Chico :embarassed:
  5. home addressed ffls are still up and running in the peninsula;
Roger's Relics in Santa Clara and David Chan in Sunnyvale are great for doing transfers, etc.

    San Joaquin Valley
I live in Fresno County, a few miles east of Fresno/Clovis, it's good to see quite a few others from the San Joaquin Valley.

Bakersfield, but just left Fresno in May. I still visit often.
  9. Davis in Yolo County.

    Hi everyone. :)

    I'm from Los Angeles originally.

Anyone who lives near Davis? Need a shooting buddy. :)

Fresno here. Sometimes Salinas (born and raised), but 99.9% Fresno now.

NoCA, Tehema Co. near Redding. Although a reluctant Glocker the 21 is growing on me.
  13. Nevada County, Nevada City, actually. Cabela's is only 75 miles away in Verdi, NV. When the ammo ban (not an outright ban) happens it is a short drive away.
If there is any sort of lesson we can get from what has happened to other states, just remember that at one time, not very long ago, CA was a great place to live for a gun enthusiast. So, if anyone from a "red", gun friendly state is reading this, don't take your freedoms for granted. Hitler was elected in a democratic country!
