Just picked up one this morning. Was wondering where it's spot on "the list" is. Thanks.
Here's one chart...
That list is dated and incomplete, but to the OP, hard to go wrong with a 6920 if you can pick one up for a reasonable price.
Picked this exact one up at Wally World this morning. Got delayed, but should be picking it up tomorrow. $1147. Not a bad price IMO.
**** the chart, list, mall ninja proving ground whatever you want to call it.
The 6920 is a solid AR, probably one of the better out of the box ARs money can buy.
Fact is there are many ARs not on the list or lowly rated on the list that are great rifles such as Rock River Arms and CMMG.
Well, considering that "the chart" holds the LE6920 as the standard that all is compared to, then i think it ranks very high.
Nice find and at a great price.
She's a beaut, congrats! And for the price, you did very well, it would be difficult to find that rifle with the same furniture for cheaper in the best of times. If I saw that on the shelf I'd probably snag it myself, can never have enough rifles!
Thanks guys. I'm extremely pleased that I picked it up. I could care less about the "list", but I do see that it ranks pretty high, so maybe the "list" is legit.
Congrats! Real nice!
Don't worry about the list. You did just fine. Now go shoot the snot out of it.
It's The One.
The "chart" is a comparison of "milspec" features found on commercially made "M4 style"carbines. Nothing more.
Just picked one up myself. I love it. This will be my fun gun with an Aimpoint on it. I'm going to make my sig 516 the hunting rifle with a scope.
I think the LE6920 is a nice blend of Colt history and benchmark quality right out of the box. Yes, there are better rifles but I didnt carry those brands when I was in the military and thats one of the factors I liked personally. I wanted that small slice of nostalgia and history.
I have owned 3 other brands and sold them all because they didnt have that heirloom factor to me. Im handing my Colt M4 down to my sons. Never selling it no matter how low it stacks up to other guns.
Yep not a Colt fan boy but for off the shelf quality/price that is about as good as you can get! Solid rifle that will last for years!
That's why I opted for the LE6920. It's the closest I could get to what our guys use in Afghanistan. So far it's been flawless.
I own the very same one - purchased at last Fall's Wanenmacher show in Tulsa I paid the same price also and I am very happy with it
