I cant seem to be without a good ole Glock 30. Most seem to have multiples of the 19 but mine is the 30. Non-SF just good ole regular standard 30. Accurate and low recoil. I just got another while looking for a cheap gun to take along while hunting and cutting wood. I was looking for a cheap S.A. XD9 Service . They are mostly pretty cheap. I saw lots and they averaged $390 each. I stumbled upon a G30 in GREAT shape with the factory copper grease still on the slide with night sights for $395 ! It was a LE Turn In. The insides were virgin.
At that price I couldn't resist , plus I can get parts way better than a S.A. XD . Here she is with my others . What is your Glock that you have multiples of and why ?
I have two standard gen4 g19s. I shoot so much that i have decided to have one g19 for all my range work and training, and one I keep with a low round count for EDC.
I have (3) gen 3 26's and (3) gen 3 17's. All 6 are setup the same and when competing with (1) platform, 2 are for the match the other is carried for the day.
I also have (3) floors in my house and 1 of each platform has its place on the floor. I believe fewer distractions allow quality time for practice, competition and carry. I no longer game my reloads and all rounds expended emulate my carry cartridges as well. I have (40) mags for each platform and my time spent at a match or practicing at the range is not reloading.
I have a lot of g19s...I've picked up a few really cheap. They're good to keep around as trade fodder etc.
I have 3 gen 4 g19s that I have dedicated for carry, hd and range. Each of these has had at least 1k through it to verify function. The hd gun has seen around 2k, carry gun right around 1500 to keep down wear and I've forgot how many rds the range gun has seen, that one probably needs a spring change. (I won't say how many more g19s I have...ha...safe to say my daughter and her kids will be very well supplied and protected after I'm gone)
Not true duplicate per se, but I EDC a 32 and my RTF2 23 has a 357 barrel in it. Why? Simply put the 19/23/32 size is perfect, for carry, use. Greatest Glock of all IMO.
They only two true duplicates I have is 2 Gen 3 G35s. One has fiber optic sights for regular matches, the other has night sights for low light matches.
I also have 23s and 34s in Gen 3 and Gen 4 flavors. Does that count? Here's the interesting thing, I prefer the Gen 3 in the 34, but the Gen 4 in the 23.
none. I have a 19,27, 29, 20. I have a complete 21 upper for my 20. I share ownership of the 19 with the bride. No plans for any more. For semi-auto pistols I'm returning to the 1911's. I'm waiting on my two youngest children to claim any guns of mine they may want. Then I'll probably sell anything that isn't approaching 50 years old or older.
I had a 30 picked it up at a Pawn Shop newish looking but no recoil spring .. They misplaced while cleaning/examing the pistol when it came out of pawn ..I was interested at the price 350.00 OTD , but I acted that I was uninterested after they told me the recoil spring was missing .. The owner went down to 325.00 OTD . I gave him 300.00 and he through in two 21 mags ..
My buddy gave me a new recoil spring ...
I traded for a as NIB 36 ..which I sold to buy a 30S ..
Im now on the look out for a 29 or a 30 non SF its crazy but I shoot one better even with my small hands ...!!!
I have a pair of G26's. I bought the second one in '10, to celebrate finishing 6 months of chemo.
I'd have been almost as happy to have bought a second G27 (the only other Glock I own), but one of those odd looking green framed G26's caught my eye (and I like the G26 best of all the guns Glock makes).
Now, when it comes to "multiples" of handguns, I own more than half a dozen J-frame snubs and 4 Colt .45 ACP's. All of those have character and an assortment of interesting feature variations. Glocks are just ... Glocks. I do favor the G26, though. It's easily close to being my second or third favorite smallish 9mm for carry usage.
