I'm looking for another fixed rear sight for one of my AR's. What fixed sights have you guys tried and which ones do you prefer?

    Thanks,

LaRue or DD. LaRue is the only one with quick detach I know of, if that matters to you.

I prefer a sight with few moving parts. A fixed sight doesn't require additional movement to deploy. With that said, I use the Daniel Defense for a BUIS or a Colt carry-handle as a fixed sighted rifle. Midwest Industries and Troy also make good non-folding sights also.

I use the RRA Tactical carry handle. This way I can use the A2 rear sight, which I prefer and it has a built in riser for optics.

LMT works great for me. Solidly built, and in use on many types of AR's - both civilian and military.

    Sawed off carry handle?

So far I like the style of the Troy fixed sight the best and I'm also liking the A1 type windage dial instead of the knob.

OK, dumb question time, What's the purpose of the large aperture in a dual aperture rear sight?

    Thanks,

I will second the LMT. Excellent fixed rear sight. It is easily detachable.

The large aperture is for 0-200m, and the large is for 300-600m. :wavey:

I LOVE your SBR, and that is EXACTLY how I'm gonna set my 10.5 up when my stamp arrives.......Stamp should get here late Feb, so I can use some of my tax refund for a nice 10.5 upper.

    Yup, same here.
For non-CH fixed sights, any of above mentioned are good. I would also add that Troy fixed rear sight is excellent.
