Complete Custom Build
Damn! How do you post a poll?
1. Springfield Armory TRP (I know not that pricey, but I've got to work my way up! I have a Kimber Custom II and an RIA Tactical right now.)
After I have the Springfield then the Wilson Combat CQB will be coming my way!
I wouldn't consider a TRP as "cheap". Great gun. I love mine.
I'll let you know when my GSR breaks.
Either a Brown or a Les Baer. 2012 will be the year of semi customs for me
I currently have a Wilson Combat CQB on order. The options I chose pushed it just over 3K. I'd say that qualifies as "pricey" but from everything I've read about Wilson it should be worth it. Unfortunately, I'm also looking at a wait time of at least 8 months. I may pick up a Springfield Range Officer while I'm waiting. I'm still debating that.
Congrats on the CQB. Mine has been great. Can't wait to see pics when you get it.
Thanks for sharing. I'll definitely be posting some pics when she finally arrives but I only placed my order in November so there's a still quite a long way to go. I see from your location that you're not that far away from Wilson Combat.
NW Ark is the 1911 Capitol of the World.
After my EE and Hvy Mono arrive, I'd really like to pick up a USFA more than anything else.
deciding on options..
Rock River 1911 (Basic or Limited Match) or TGO1
*wake up, I'm dreaming, is that the fire alarm?
After selling a few somewhat-expensive 1911 45acp in 2011 that I could not bring myself to scratch, scrape and drop, I swore it'd be cosmetically ugly/plain work guns with beautiful triggers and internals from now on. Got those, but something keeps pulling me to the aforementioned 1911.
Maybe the most realistic is having Dean Barton build me a 1911. Relatively inexpensive at around $1500. And I may get poo pooed for this, but a black Smith & Wesson Performance Center 1911 (http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/...57900_757896_757896_ProductDisplayErrorView_Y) is tempting - external extractor and all - as is a Dan Wesson Valor. Or maybe buying back the full rail bull barrel TRP.
Truthfully I see my collection of 1911 45 mags and springs collecting dust for 2012, it's going to be a 9mm year for me.
Kinda surprised I haven't bought a Valor yet. I've got a couple od DW 1911's and they make a great gun, especially for the money. And their tough as nails to boot.
I would love a SACS build. A pro and cco built to pro specs but I will not have the money.
$1650 plus $6 shipping from grabagun.com (http://grabagun.com/dwesson-valor-45acp-5-blk.html) is the best NIB for a black Valor I've come across. Stainless a few hundred less.
Buds has the black Valor for $1515 w/free shipping and the SS Valor for $1402 w/free shipping.
If I had the money (and I won't, not for a while), I'd be getting a DW or Guncrafter (or both).
Three of my very favorites.
