Haven't heard anything lately and some quick Googling was seemingly leading nowhere.

In March it had been introduced in the Senate but I don't see anything happening since.

Good question, however, I have lost all faith in the current Government/courts/etc etc,
    don't bet on anything.

There are 2 bills in the Senate; S.2188 & S.2213...both have been introduced, but not referred to a committee. They are sitting there collecting dust. Which IMHO, is a good place for both of them. Here is a link to look at them: S.2188 & S.2213.

According to the web site linked to, neither have much of a chance to pass.

The Senate is running the clock out. Then the House will have to go back to square one again, then back to the Senate to run the clock out again.
