I am looking to change the sights on my Gen3 19, and wondering what sights you have on your gun and why you chose them. I have bifocals and 47 year old eyes, so looking for input that may work for me. Have looked at a bunch of websites with a bunch of sights.

What I would like to know is
    1. What sights you have
    2. Would or do they interfere with a conceal holster
    3. Do you wear glasses or bi or tri focals
4.If you are thinking about changing what are you consider changing to.

I am looking to stay around $100 for the new sights.

Please dont bash what someone else uses or tell me why the ones you chose are better than the ones they chose.

Just looking for the 4 things above.

    Thanks from the Texas Noob

    1. Stock plastic Glock sights.
    2. No.
    3. Contacts or glasses if I am lazy.
    4. Yes. I plan on ordering amber/green Meprolights this month for my G27. Glockmeister has them for about $77. I like the low profile and my dad has them on his G22 which used to be his duty gun. He liked them a lot.

    1. XS Big Dots and Ameriglo Pro i-dots
    2. Used to wear glasses, but got iLasik
    3. XS Big Dots may require a bigger sight channel due to the size of the front sight. I only ran into that problem with one Jude's holster.
    4. The XS sights allow for fast target acquisition, but are not good for longer range or precise shooting. I thing the Pro i-dots are just as good, but in my opinion, allow for more precise shooting. I will be staying with the Pro i-dots.

Heine Ledge 3D night sights, on both my duty G34 & off-duty G19.

Melonite finish; I've got acidic sweat that eats blued steel.

    Ledge for easier one-handed clearing.

    Set screw.

    Excellent sight picture.

    Unmarked Rustbox
Sights are Dave Sevigny branded Warren Tactical two dots on a G17/26. Carried on duty as LEO.

No holster issues, duty or concealment. The tall rear sight tends to wear my uniform pants pocket with the G26 when carried daily in a Nemesis in my front right pocket.

    No glasses.

Not changing. If it did, I would consider TFOs again. Had them in 2006 on my ported G34 and they were great except the gas cooked the inserts.

    1. Trijicon HD with yellow front surround on my 23c
    2. Have had no problem with the height in any of my holsters
    3. Wear glasses all the time
    4. Love them compared to the stock glock sight, can't stand the ball in a bucket approach. Would also use Ameriglo sights without hesitation, just found a great deal on the HD's.

Just ordered these... they should be here tomorrow.

    1. 10-8 Performance .156 black rear and .100 green fiber optic front.
    2. No. Same height as stock sights.
    3. No.
    4. I'm going to get the .125 bead from them whenever it's in stock, and decide which I like better for my carry gun, and then buy another rear so I have a set for another Glock.
