Sorry my search skills suck. Looking for some night sights for my G30. Trijicon, Meprolight or Truglo? My aging eyes need a littlle extra help now-a-days, so one that will have easy aquistion during the day and glow bright a night seems best. Lets hear the good, bad and indiffernt. Thanks

I put the Ameriglo (trijicon) front night sights only on my Glocks and love 'em.
If money was no object, I'd probably go with the big ol' XS Big Dots.
"Easy/fast acquisition" seems to be their strong point, but then again...
    I haven't actually tried them.

  3. I just had a set of AmeriGlo Operator night sights put on my G17 and I love them so far.

I just installed the XS Big dot sights on my G39. They are easy for my eyes to pick up in the day or night.

Just for a little variety check out these. I'm 54 and they work great for my eyes too! I got the wider rear sight opening.

My first choice are factory night sights (even though I'm sure the other brands are just as good if not better).

If I ever end up with a GLOCK that doesn't come with GNS I guess Trijicon would be my second/aftermarket choice.

TFO's are too brittle, and do NOT allow GubScrubber to get on them.
Maybe I'm just hard on them, but I did not have good lock with them.

What are the opinions on the Glock night sights?

for your "old aging eyes" I can recomemnd XS big dots.

If you don't like them, I always found trijicon to be the brightest night sights.

  12. I know there are a lot of good night sights out there and I was in the same boat your in now, going crazy trying to find out which kind of night sights to get. I ended up with a set of trijicon with yellow on front sight and green on the rear sights and I love them. Easy to pick up in daylight and in the dark. The yellow is easy to pick up and my old eyes aint like they were 60 some years ago. Good luck and hope you get something you like.

They work. Simple as the rest of the gun, nothing fancy, not too specialiced (BigDots don't work for me at longer Distances...) and I haven't been able to damage them yet.

I can't believe I'm the first to recommend Meprolight TruDot's. Same 3 dot setup as Trijicon with a brighter glow for less money. I have them on all 3 of my Glock pistols.
