I've carried an Emerson CQC7 every day for the last 10 ten years.
I think that I need (hahahaha..."need". That's a funny word) a Gunhammer.
A 99 model in my pocket right now.'08.
I carry either a SOG Trident with a serrated blade or a Kershaw Leek. Sometimes if I need a fixed blade I carry a CRKT N.E.C.K or mt Glock 81 if I am hiking or camping. But usually the SOG. I love it and it's not a Benchmade or Microtech that would kill me if I lost it.
I am a broke college kid and can't afford super nice knives. I just need something functional because I use them on a daily basis.
Outdoor Hub mobile, the outdoor information engine
A small Chris Reeve Sebenza for boxes and a Case Zytel Hobo for meals. The Sebenza is a nice working knife and having a decent fork, knife, and spoon available is really nice when the alternative is cheap plastic utensils.
Only Emerson's.. Ten years and counting, everyday.
After owning many silly priced customs, like Hinderers and others, I have found that my edc is either a Spyderco Yojimbo 2 or Emerson CQC-7. I've come to realize that an expensive blade, like an expensive gun, won't make the bad guy any more dead.
I think most people who buy nice knives do so for reasons other than to make bad guys dead
A knife is a tool 1st,a weapon 2nd.'08.
Owning custom knives isn't for everyone. They cut the same as production knives. Most people that own customs do so out of appreciation of build quality, precision, and attention to detail.
Wouldn't consider a folder as first, second, or even third in line for defense purposes... but it may come ahead of a tactical pen

SOG Twitch II.....nice little folder.
I'm glad you found the knife you like best. As for myself, I prefer and carry my "silly priced customs" because I can feel the quality in my hand, and I like that. I'm never killed anyone with one, and hope I never have to.
I don't think you have nice enough knives to comment on that discussion.
