Like many gearhaeds I was an occasional drag racer for many years, then in '97-'98 I did it a LOT. After that I tried autocross in 2000, and was hooked. In 2001 I tried open track (HPDE) on a road course with other cars, and that was awesome. In April I did my first open road race (BBORR) where we averaged 125.2 mph over 118 miles of highway, starting from a stop twice, with 60 turns in each 59 mile leg. Next April I plan to enter the 135 (or 140 if they will let me) class. I have also ran the Texas Mile a couple times. Here is a video of the T/A hitting 166mph from a stop in 1 mile.

I guess wheel-to-wheel road racing is the next natural step, but I don't think I have the time, money, or talent for it.

I made about 25 quarter-mile passes last season ('05), which for a 20-second car isn't too bad. It'll be much faster next season. :) I'd also like to try autocross and/or road course stuff, but they just closed our only two road courses within a hundred miles or more, and I haven't looked into SCCA for next summer yet. I have a bad feeling that my car would put me in a much higher class than I have the skills for.

I've been to the drag strip twice.
    It wasn't pretty.
4500 ft above sea level with 9800 DA and my
crappy 2.4 60 foots make for an embarrasing
    time for a modded ls1.

I plan on getting some slp/eibach suspension goodies
and hitting a road course this summer. . .

now, if you want to talk about illegal racing, that is another
    story;)

1/8 mile and 1/4 mile drag racing in anyhting from a 13 second bone stock sedan to high 7 second drag bike.

Done Motocross,Hare scramble,Hill-climb,Enduro on dirt bikes and atvs

Drag raced,AMA road race on street bikes.

Tried autocross and couple of track day had a lot of fun but was very humbled at my driving skills.

Of all of it I would say I like Hare scrambles the best (cuz I seem to be the best at it ;f )

Next would be drag racing howeve rthat fact that I have so much room for improvment in the road racing department I think for 06 I am going to try to get much more track time on 4 wheels.
