Like many gearhaeds I was an occasional drag racer for many years, then in '97-'98 I did it a LOT. After that I tried autocross in 2000, and was hooked. In 2001 I tried open track (HPDE) on a road course with other cars, and that was awesome. In April I did my first open road race (BBORR) where we averaged 125.2 mph over 118 miles of highway, starting from a stop twice, with 60 turns in each 59 mile leg. Next April I plan to enter the 135 (or 140 if they will let me) class. I have also ran the Texas Mile a couple times. Here is a video of the T/A hitting 166mph from a stop in 1 mile. I guess wheel-to-wheel road racing is the next natural step, but I don't think I have the time, money, or talent for it. Wanna kill these ads? We can help!
