I think my next pistol is going to have to be one of these. How much does a very nice example cost -- a shooter and user not a collector's item -- and how available are they? UPDATE: No thanks, not right now ... I can buy several Glocks for one nice one, alas.

Who cares. You can buy several Glocks for the price of many quality guns. Glocks are cheaply made. You get what you pay for.

Get the P7 instead. They sell for about half the price of the P7M8.

My favorite is my only Glock since 1989 - the magnificent G17! CCW, competition shooting, OC. It does it all.

Two '70 Series Colt's, one is a Govt. Model the other a Combat Commander.

The P-35's own, P7M8 & 13 follow in some loose order depending on whim, if pressed the P-35 would be the overall favorite based on a number of its attributes.

I got a Sig 2022 because after Sandy Hook I could always find 9mm but not 45. So far that's been my favorite. But I got a Gen 4 19 this morning and from dry firing it, I think that's going to change when I get a chance to go to the range.

I guess it's time for an update. My Smith 6690 was awesome, but with support and parts drying up, I moved on. These days, I have to give my Beretta 92 Police Special the nod. I love firearms in general, but the Beretta is one of those that just fit. Large, comfortable, and so accurate. What's not to like.

Yup. A good P7 can be had for under a $1000. I found this one at a gun show this Summer. See a lot of the P7M8 for sale at collector's prices. The P7 aren't easy to find these days, but it's essentially the same weapon. If you put the word out yr looking for one, somebody will hook ya up.
