I got email today from a Dudley Brown telling me that he was extending my membership in the "National Association for Gun Rights" for another week to give me time to get my membership renewal dues in for 2012.

As far as I know I'm not a member of this organization... I've certainly never paid for membership. Does anyone know about this group? Is it legitimate? The emails sound like they're pretty dedicated to what they are trying to do... but even as new as I am to handgun shooting I would think I'd have heard of them by now.

    Thanks for any insights!

NAGR is a competitor with the NRA, but they don't get as much money. As far as I know, they are legit.
