it's a club of sorts that glock put together to promote their guns. www.gssfonline.com. for the most part, they hold simple and fun shooting competitions all over the USA, mostly outdoor but some indoor. the annual membership is around $25 and then there are modest fees to shoot at the events. they also provide a discounted glock pistol purchase program that lets you get one gun per year at a nice price.

The Glock Sport Shooting Foundation is now 21 years old. Initially started to encourage competition with Glock pistols. It has grown to 43 outdoor matches per year, averaging over 300 entries per match. Each outdoor match gives away many pistol, cash and merchandise awards. The indoor series averages about 35 per event.

GSSF members may now enroll in a Glock Armorer's class and are eligible for one discounted pistol purchase per year.

The courses of fire are simple--no drawing, speed reloading, running, jumping, crawling or cartwheels. Anyone can shoot. The concept is accuracy at speed. Although the stages are simplw, they are very difficult to win. Men, women and children of all ages are encouraged to participate. Physically challenged shooters are welcome.

Last year, the match in Conyers, GA drew over 1,000 entries.

  7. LOL Yeah, you should see my IDPA Match Director when I advance on a target with those cartwheels...:tongueout:

OP - you can get a graphic idea of where the matches are held, here:

A G36 wouldn't be my first choice for a match though...
