Whatever happened to good old fashioned faith?

I've never understood the obsession of trying to prove that God exists.
    What difference would it make?

If we all believed in God based on proof, then how would God tell the difference between the real believers and those who only believe because they have to.

JB, you can not believe in god if you need proof. Everything in existence can be by a natural process except for the beginning. It doesn't matter if two universes bumped together to start ours, if two branes bumped together........that was not the beginning. Some where back before 00:00 time in our universe something way unusual happened

Only from our point of view.
For all we know it may be a common occurrence.

Why do we always think we're at the top of the food chain, and that everything revolves around us.

Maybe we don't have proof of God's existence because it's not important and wouldn't change anything anyway.

    Far out JBnTX.

Maybe this happened lots of times in the past.

Maybe it is happening in lots of other places we just can not see............................................

At any rate, what we got going on here is nothing short of amazing............................to us.

    Experience.

We don't have proof of God's existence, but we do have proof of our existence.

What are we? Where did we come from? These are perfectly natural question. I experienced God while I was a Christian. I was a true believer. I accepted the story given as the answer to those questions. Then I grew out of Christianity. I no longer accept the given story. The experience of God is still my proof, but I must look elsewhere for the answers of; What are we? Where did we come from?

    ¶Likely is I guess.

Why do we always think we're at the top of the food chain, and that everything revolves around us.

¶Pantheism is not an elitist ideology. man is just part of all the possibilities. man does have the ability to understand the uniqueness of our possibility.

Maybe we don't have proof of God's existence because it's not important and wouldn't change anything anyway.

    ¶I completely agree.
