I like my Glock 34; however, the only use I see for it is competition. Same for a Glock 35. Would not carry either.
So, if you shoot competition, why not just shoot your Glock 17 or Glock 22? Good for carry also.

Some of the local PD officers use G34s. I use my G17 for competition.

    It's good for 30-50fps extra over a G17. :dunno:

So what you're saying is that a pistol has no purpose if it isn't best used for carry or competition?

when compared to high end 1911's and even hk and sig, relatively inexpensive so not a problem (at least for me) to have a gun designated for competition.

but also can be a nice range toy and also good home defense gun.

The 34/35 is the same size as a full size 1911, and can be CC'd without too much difficulty. With tame handloads and the same bullets, my 35 runs at higher velocities than my 29.

I like the G34 for range use better than the G17. And as said the G34 or G35 are becoming a bit more popular with some officers as a duty gun.

Here's a little secret for you...

Not every gun bought needs to be carried.

The G34 has a lighter trigger pull, and a couple other enhancements over the G17 for range use. Its also got a longer barrel to increase the velocity of the ammo. The longer sight radius helps a person to shoot more accurately as well.

Double duty for range and home defense. Im a big fan of the 34 and 17L for both jobs. Better accuracy and a little higher velocity.

Although my G17 gets the strong majority of work, I have carried my G34 and a G35 many times and have competed with them also. I still kick myself for selling my G35.

I would love to have a 34 or 35, mainly for duty use. Even though the 17/22 size was the original, I could live without one. If I lost all my Glocks and had to start over I would buy a 27 and 35 first.

Great night stand gun. Target/Range. Hunting. Outstanding accuracy with a decent factory trigger. The longer slide is better for attachments such as lights/lasers as they dont tend to extend past the end of the barrel. If I were an LEO, I think I would carry a 35.

Like others have already pointed out, the 34/35 aren't anymore difficult to carry or, conceal than a full-sized 1911. It can be done.
