I started a new ritual. Every January (birthday serves as reminder), I changed the recoil and firing pin springs on each of my 1911s that I shoot or carry frequently.
"If this is what everyone says is an 'entry' level 1911 and I thoroughly enjoy shooting it, I'm not sure I want to shoot a 'premium' 1911. I'll go broke."
Went to range, regulated sights. Came home, full disassembly. Stoned the sear and hammer hooks. Reassembled the gun. Got a very crisp trigger for my efforts.
Took it to the range with the Kimber 22 conversion and ran 250 rounds through it.
