I picked up a CCO size Springfield ser# letters are NMC.
It is a beautiful blued gun with walnut grips. It has a commander hammer, and a short grip safety. It has a short trigger. The box is a white and blue cardboard box. The box in nearly as cool as the gun. It has all of its paperwork and kibbles. The part number is P19502.

It may be a couple of days before I get pics up. The guy I bought it from bought it new, he said 15 years ago. He thinks he shot it, but it appears unfired. The original price on the box says $523.00

It's beautiful, but does anyone know anything more?
I looked around briefly on the internet but didn't find anything.

    Thanks for any info!

ETA, single safety, rear serrations only, it says COMPACT CAL 45 on one side, and SPRINGFIELD ARMORY on the other. The trigger is crisp. The guide rod plug has what appears to be a flat slot in it.

The guy who I bought it from said he is a big Colt series 70 guy. He had Colt grips on it. I took them off to find the threads on the screws buggered up. I ordered a tap and new screws last night from Midway. As soon I get the original grips back on it, I'll post pictures.

I called Springfield this am. It was made in July 1991 and she thinks the C is for compact. That's all she said.
  5. The Compact model is a CCO size gun. The CCO size is basically a commander slide (4.25") on an officer size frame.

There are a few different variations of this SA Compact model floating around. Options are: steel frame or aluminum frame. Some are standard GI spec without a BTGS, and some have a BTGS feature.

I have an alloy and BTGS version.

Greg that looks like it is going to be beautiful!

I'm glad I held off on ordering a CCO. I received a quote from CJ about an hour after this one popped up and am still drooling over the Guncrafter CCO.

Maybe once I get the grips on this one and get some pics up, you can give me some pointers. I want to shoot it bad!
