Just wondering what everybody is carrying for there edc ammo.
I carry 9mm 115gr. hp gold dots in my gen 4 glock 17, used to use federal premium 9mm 124 gr. hydra-shok jhp in my glocks until I did some research and found out they're not the greatest defensive rounds. I'm thinking about carrying Hornady 9mm 115 gr. Z-Max though... I just found a place that sells Winchester Ranger ammo. I might buy a couple boxes of those...
10mm- Horandy 180gr. 9mm GD 115gr. 40sw 180 Rangers 357sig 125 gr rangers Sd ammo in my 45s is so old I can't remember since I rarely carry 45s I havent bought sd ammo in several years.
I read somewhere that 115gr is best for 9mm as opposed to higher gr 124, 147gr... because the heavier grain bullets don't travel fast enough to achieve reliable expansion. I don't know if this is true or not but I practice with winchester white box 115 gr. so I use 115gr. for my defensive ammo.
