Well over the weekend I got a new camera. Panasonic DMC FZ7 with 12 X Zoom Leica lens!

First critters I got in my sights were these two Gobblers. Never got a clear shot of their beards but they had em.

Then I saw several squacks all of these are different reds!

Also saw some more turks! I saw several more squacks but they weren't really in camera range. .22 WMR now that's a different story had the season been open!

Great pics, especially considering the high magnification and "shooting" through thick brush!

Yeah, the great thing about this camera is it has image stabilization. Plus all the controls of a good SLR in a fixed lens camera.

Hey, just snapped this out the window under my bird feeder. Set on Aperture priority set aper. to 3.3 and the shutter speed was about 1/40 12X zoom. No visable shake with Img Stab on.

    Huntinfool,

Knock it off! My current camera (simple and crappy as it is) is only about a year and a half old; I don't need a new one!!!

Even one with (drool) 12x zoom.

    And Image Stabilization (more drool).

    Growing ... weak ... hard to ... resist ... anymore ...

    ;)
