Weapon Transfer Questions?

Discussion in 'General Firearms Forum' started by carloglock19, Aug 21, 2012.

  1. I'm looking to sell one of my handguns to a cousin who lives in Connecticut. I reside in Virginia and was wondering if this was legal as a private sale. He has a CT concealed carry permit and is able to own firearms. Not sure what I would need (bill of sale, special form etc.) and if this is permissible and legal. Would like to get some advice from the GT brain trust and members with experience in this matter. Thanks in advance.

  2. Thanks. When I did my research it was a little unclear, then I read a little more and now see that it won't be legal because I will be crossing state lines and I'm not a resident of CT so an FFL will have to do the transfer.
