If the weapon is not made and produced in that state that it's staying in I would say that you may have a valid argument there. I would need BATFE or one of the LE from your area to clarify that one. Oh well, I might know if you make it into the BOP.

Stop smoking for a few weeks around my 21st birthday. Go to a gun store and buy my first Glock.

I'm not sure if maybe you thought I was planning on buying a handgun at this age. I'm waiting till I'm 21. Sorry for the confusion.

Going to a chaplain or a CID team would have been the right answer. We were all ignorant privates that had no idea we could go to CID about hazing.

The main reason I went awol is there came a night where my new team leader (who was the same rank as me) wronged me in a terrible way. I was filled with anger and hatred and wanted to end his life after months and months of receiving that same evil and hatred from him. I was afraid of making THAT Huge mistake so I did the only thing I thought I could do which was get as far away from the situation as I could.

I understand that. You took the easier route. Had you thought about other legal alternatives? Legal according to UCMJ?

At this point you have an opportunity to make a new life for yourself. You can do this to begin with by getting off anything that makes you dependent on chemicals, including natural ones. In your case it might be prudent to get help for yourself through Teen Challenge or other similar organizations, or try the VA. Also, you need to clear off of Glock Talk when it comes to mentioning using any chemicals. Your future may depend on that. There are certain jobs you cannot do while using, and while having used recently in the past several years.

    Easier and less fatal.

No...as an 18 year old PFC all I knew was there was nothing I could do but keep pushing on. I did so for 8 months..but I snapped that night.

Do you understand that if you tell the truth on your 4473 no dealer is going to sell you a gun?

For the record, you don't have to deploy to get diagnosed w/PTSD. If you experience a traumatic event or even witness one you can be dx'd w/PTSD.

    That's all for now.

If I'm not smoking at the time I won't be lying. Good thing weed isn't actually physically addictive and I don't have a problem taking long breaks. :)

You obviously have your mind made up on that. I suggest you don't until you quit using altogether. You use it at any time after the purchase and one bad thing happens while a firearm is in your hand, it may get you into a facility where I work at. Do yourself a favor and quit.

Or I could just continue being a responsible gun owner that DOESN'T have a trigger finger or a nag to shoot someone just as I've been doing the last decade or so. Don't you think this would work just as well?

You are, by your own admission, an unlawful user of several controlled substances and are in possession of at least one firearm. You are a federally prohibited person. Not smoking when you purchase your next one is irrelevant to you status right now.

    Educate yourself: http://www.atf.gov/firearms/how-to/identify-prohibited-persons.html

Your first two sentences, stopping for a couple of weeks, buy the gun, then the statement, "I don't have a problem taking" breaks, you just violated federal law if you answer "No".

And are you really clean from the other drugs?

What sign from God would you accept to make you change your ways? Serious question, what would make you change?

    Example:

I was hooked on Heroin for a couple of months. I would go into work strung out. Eventually a friend told me she knew I was nodding out and that the H was changing who I was. That was all I needed to hear. I went cold turkey that night and went through withdrawal for about a day and a half.

My friend telling me that was my sign.

Although, everyone seems to love me more than usual when I'm around them pot baked.
