Was ptr 91 legal in ct before the new ban?

    Yes, they offered the "C" model which has a compensator rather than a flash suppressor. Unfortunately they are no longer legal for purchase due to the recent change in the assault weapon law. The old law required more than 2 items (detachable mag, pistol grip, flash suppressor, collapsable stock), the new law is more than 1 item. As the PTR has a pistol grip and detachable magazine it's an assault weapon in the Peoples Republic of Connecticut.
