For now they'll continue selling ammo. For now.

    Wallmart hurts America.

Which Wal-Mart was this? Recently I've only been out to the new one in Hamburg and they didn't even have stands up.

They still have guns listed on their web page that you can print out and take to the store.

Is this all Wallyworlds? Or just the metro area stores? I'm still seeing many of the rural area stores with fresh stocks of long guns.

The wally world in Richmond is undergoing a renovation. It looks like it will be using the same displays etc as the new one in Hamburg. As of about 10 days ago they still had long guns and shot guns but they all had "clearance" tags on them that were the exact same price as they were before the tags. I wonder if they are going to stop selling them at this store or not. If they do I'll blame the slow creep of Lexington.

Store in London seems well stocked, no clearance tags. I did not get to ask an associate.

The WallyWorld here in Russellville (Logan Co.) is going to stop selling guns in April. This was told to me by the Sporting Goods manager when I bought 500 rds of 40 S&W and 500 rds of 45 Blazer Brass.

Looks like wallyworld will stop being on my shopping list. First their very low prices on the more common type of guns were so low that smaller gunshops could not compete, and now that there are only a few of the larger gunstores left, wallofchina-mart stops selling guns. I will gladly pay a little more $$ to shop at stores that sell firearms as well as ammo, and many places sell better hunting/fishing stuff.

    Sam Walton is alive-
Walmart prided itself on selling products made in America, and they sold guns.

    Walton is dead-
Walmart gets away from guns, and many products are from China.

Seems like pride and integrity died with ol' Sam.

<sarcasm>Yeah, and suddenly you're *not* a redblooded testicle-toting American Male if you *don't like* shopping amongst palettes of cheap chinese crap. But hey, as long as they sell .357 sig at a low, low everyday price, screw the small price-gouging shop owner who actually wants to sell it at a profit!</sarcasn>

    WTH is wrong you people?

Walmart, its employees and its patrons... SUCK .... in the worst possible way.

Yep, that reloading is starting to look better and better everyday.

And you'd think Wall-Fart, with all the guff they get from the Demorats would sell MORE guns just to snub their noses at them, what's next? Maybe they will hire the Dixie Ditz to sing a jingle for them. They obviously don't know where their customer base is.

    Not any more they're not.

They finally succumbed to the ammo price increases, a couple of weeks ago they were still 12ish a box for WWB 9mm but all the ammo has shiny new price tags.

  16. I wish they were still 12ish per box for WWB 9mm. I paid 14.56 per box in Louisville for the same thing. Hurt my feelings when I bought 10 boxes. yikes!

  17. I went to Buds on-line and got WWB for $10/box and CCI Blazer Brass for $8 /box. Also found Winchester NATO 9mm at Sportsmans guide for around $8 / box. Even taking shipping into consideration, I find buying on-line is less than $14 + per box. Decent luck from both sellers too.

  18. Jambog. It has been posted repeatedly here on GT for months.

It was announced that 2/3 of the Wal-Mart stores were removing firearms. The rest will have only 6 to choose from, according to the Wal-Mart web site.

  19. Was that for 100 rounds? that is what I was talking about. does Buds-on-line have WWB 100 rounds for $10/box?

Only 1 Walmart in LEX will carry guns, I think it was richmond road but it may be the russel cave one. Gun sales just weren't strong enough to have them in all the Walmarts. I mean, all you guys complaining, how many have you bought from Walmart? I know my friends and I have gotten about a dozen but don't plan on getting any more from there. There selection is limited and they're bound to be overstocked.

Ah well, like the usual socialist GTer I should be jumping on the "burn em down to the ground" bandwagon. It's funny how RKBA folk hate free economies. You'd think one freedom is more precious than another!

    Man I love walmart. :hearts:

    :hugs: :wavey: :tongueout:
