I reformatted my Dell Vostro 1500. A warning keeps popping up to download the drivers for Intel Wireless WiFi link 4965AGN adapter. It is not shown in device manager. It is shown in add/remove programs. I did a repair and downloaded drivers from Intel. Anyone know what is going on ?

    Thanks in Advance,

If you buy a Dell Vostro by default you get a Dell wifi card. You have to pay extra to get an Intel. Do you remember just which card you ordered when you bought the system?

You can go to Dell and put your express code in under Support. Express code is on the back of the system. This will tell you just what card was included in your system.

In device manager it shows a 1394 Net Adaptor, a Broadcom 440X 10/100 Integrated Controller, and a Dell Wireless WLAN Mini Card. Is it possible it doesn't even have this Intel device ? I do appreciate your help.

The 1394 is a Firewire device.
    Broadcom is wired ethernet controller.
I would assume the Dell wireless WLAN is the wireless card and if so it is not Intel.
Did you go to the Dell support page with your Tag Number and look up the specs of your system?

I went to Dell with my service tag. Here is what it revealed for my network card.

    Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated controller-Packet Scheduler Miniport
Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-card-Packet Scheduler Miniport.

I wait for your verification but it looks like the Intell Pro Wireless was never installed. Thank you for your time , I do appreciate your help.
