Hello Mas, I have an old blue and white box of such ammo that I bought back in 1975. Now I don't plan on shooting these babies --oh no--but do you have an idea of the velocity of these beauties ? The bullets are jacketed hollow points 158 grain, somewhat pointy. One more thing, do you know why S&W stopped manufacturing ammo a long time ago ?

    Thanks much.

Made variously by Alcan and Fiocchi as I recall, it ran hot and cold depending on the load. Some guys recall the .38 +P as being particularly hot, and I remember a run of S&W 125 grain .357 Magnum that was very much on the light side. For your stuff, only the chronograph will tell. You might want to check among the cartridge collectors and see what it's worth these days. (If that's not a typo and you really have .358 Magnum revolver ammo, you have a definite collector's item!)

    best,
    Mas
