    So where does one find a WWI or WWII vintage Colt 1911? Much searching on the internet has turned up very little. Does anyone have an idea on where to do more searching?

    there's some at one of the shops near me, but none of them are for sale. they also have a Remington-Rand there as well

    I usually spot a few at gun shows, but the prices can be really high, even on the completely non original ones.
