    Horrible gushy little hotdogs. Not even good ones. Tried some to see if i wanted to add to preps. Thats about the only time id choke some down, huddled in a cold basement surviving armageddon. After the sample was gone never bought any others. Much better alternatives.

    Potted meat? Thats the generic name for underwood deviled ham which is actually pretty good. The chicken spread is even better! That, DAK ham and bacon flavored spam are my designated bomb shelter foods.

    Mix one can of Underwood Deviled Ham and one package of cream cheese and eat with raw veggies, ummmmm!
    Vienna sausages and saltines, good breakfast when you're outdoors - or anywhere for that matter.

    I like 'em. They're no filet mignon, but they are a good, quick snack.

    Toast them in the toaster oven, and lay them on some crackers.

    It's not fine dining, but what did you expect from a can? 5 star veal chop?

    edible and not much flavor, now a can of corned beef hash, yum

  8. They're an acquired taste. Great lunch snack when deer hunting.

    Tried some Armor Chicken Viennas tonight. Was starving when I got home and knew I wouldn't last until supper. Terrific! Even drank the juice. Yum!

    being in the south ,lol love em .

    people turn their noses up at viee-nna but eat sardines ??

    :wow::wow:

    good food lol . now i dont eat the potted meat. we call that POTTED SMEAT .

  10. Sardines are great. King Oscar's are the best. But as I've gotten older I need to sop up some of the olive oil before putting them in a sandwich.

    Kippered Herring is another winner. Love it on toast with a slice of Jalapeno Jack cheese.

    I just tried these for the first time the other day actually, not impressed, lol.

    They were .50 a pop at walmart though so a cheap protein prep.... guess I gotta eat at least a few cans if only to rotate through them.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl: You're right!!! I'd totally forgotten this.

    I like em rinsed and a lil bit of mustard as a dip. Or on Crackers.

    I must get some one day.... My wife gives me the "Stink Eye" when I reach for them or the Spam Can. I love the stuff. And have eaten it all my life, of and an!

    I had some a couple weeks ago. I used to like them when I was younger, but I didn't enjoy this last can too much.

    They are nasty but I confess to getting a can or two once or twice a year. After I eat them I ask myself, "Why???" I did get them in school lunch boxes some so maybe it's a nostalgia thing. Or maybe I forget how nasty they are. For what it's worth the BBQ one are slightly better.

    My grandmother used to serve them to us cut in halves on a saltine cracker with a thin slice of red onion on top. I remember them as tasting pretty good. I wouldn't buy them to try it again though :)

    At least on that end, she was probably actually looking out for you. I would expect my GF to give me a hard time if she saw me buying that crap. Not because it's white trash food, I wouldn't care about that, but it's just plain bad for you.
