My oldest daughter (16) has expressed an interest in going deer hunting with me this season. That's quite a conflict of interest for her. She's a vegetarian! Her rational is that she believes animals are mistreated before they are killed. But for hunting, she believes it is much more humane in that the animals are free and that hunters serve a purpose that is in the best interest of the animals. She would much rather they die via a good hunter than starve or hit by a car. First off, I've never heard of a vegetarian that wanted to go hunting. While I appreciate her views, I was always taught that you eat what you kill. So I've got some mixed emotions about letting her go hunting. Anyone encounter this one before or have an opinion on this? Edit: She is a good a shot.
