What about bang on the glass at the local VA office? Get a news crew so people can feel sorry for me?

I sent my school the paperwork in June. They didn't send it to the VA until late August, almost 2 weeks after school had already started.

They've always sent my paperwork in early, so my benefits just keep on rolling and there's never been a delay even when transitioning between fall to spring, spring to summer, etc.

I haven't gotten paid anything since July 1st. And according to the VA it can take 6-8 weeks to process paperwork from the they got it. mid-late October in my case.

What's an entitled young man with no job to do?

(did I already mess up by having a savings account?)

They do. I think veterans are the next group of public employees to be cut off the teet.

There has to be some incentive to join the service, now the days of big bonuses are gone if you take away the education benefits then the military becomes a detriment. Do I chase tail and take underwater basket weaving for four years or get yelled at by smoky the bear and run the risk of my death for four years and come out with a high school diploma

Maybe because I was a Marine - but for me the incentive to join the military was because it was the military.

****, I was so eager to shoot towel heads that I would have paid THEM to go to Parris Island.

Of course now I am not as foolish, but I still would have joined without educational benefits. (And probably dealt with alot less hoodrats and white trash while I Was in)

I know nothing of the process but, if they are within the stated timeline I would just check back every few weeks to make sure things are moving along.

I say you protest for what's yours!

Get yourself an orange robe, a gallon of gas, and a match, and head down to somewhere with lots of people to pay attention to you!
