Union stupidity

    They are upset and all butthurt because their antics are causing a serious rift. The county dealing with this is struggling financially and this "action" didn't help.

    The tragically funny thing about all of this is that it started out when their union didn't get hired because another union did for a cheaper and more effective rate. Further, the actions could force the company to leave which would mean ZERO longshoremen jobs in that city.

    I feel for my LE brothers and sisters down there. What a stupid mess, caused by some union thugs.

    The Merchant Marine (the ships and the shore side) has some of the strongest unions around. Heck, when we'd sail, we were required to have pot roast once a week, steak once a week, etc per the contract.

    And yes, they'd stop work at the drop of a hat because of some perceived slight.
