Yes and Yes.
Definetely union, Local 43, everyone must be in the union here.
Union employes average about 25% more pay on average nationally with far better benefits. My last department was union my current one is not and I am working to get that changed.

Just saw that your profile said that home is FL and you're L2. I've heard about a brother from Seattle that works in SF and pushes the shift-trades, another guy I met in DHS training that worked in O.C. that lived in PHX, but please tell us your secret.
