I am running Ubuntueee on my Netbook.
Last evening I was able to use my thumb drives with no problem.
Tonight it will not access the thumb drives...giving me the following error message: Cannot mount volume. Unable to mount the volume. mount: must be superuser to use mount.
How do I go about getting this thing to recognize my thumb drive???
(am relearning Linux after many years ago trying to learn it)
    Thanks guys....

    Indy:
Tried your suggestions and the ones on the link. Intermittent mount and no-mount.
Decided to reinstall Ubuntu. No big deal as I had it on my thumb drive.
Everything seems to be going ok for now.
Thank you Sir....trying to learn this again. Love this version of Linux.

  4. sudo mount -t vfat /dev/sdb1 [replace this with directory you wish to mount to]
