I have two non technical Linux questions. Actually they are pronunciation questions. First off how do you pronounce Debian? Is it Deb (as in the name) in or is it de ban? The chances of me hearing anyone say this word in normal everyday speech are not very likely. Secondly, and right along that line, I know a major difference in a Linux distribution VS as BSD distribution has to do with start up and the concept of run levels. Linux has run levels it inherited from system V. Is that pronounced System vee as in the letter V or is that system five as the Roman numeral V? Its not really a matter of life or death but I have been wondering these things and didnt know how else to find out. Google is NOT your friend when it comes to pronouncing words. Thanks in advance Mike Wanna kill these ads? We can help!
